#NTTW25 & Cultural Heritage Tourism

US Cultural & Heritage Marketing Council joins our industry partners as we celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) — a powerful reminder of the essential role that travel plays in powering economies, strengthening communities, and celebrating the people and experiences that visitors and cultural travelers enjoy.

Now more than ever, tourism needs continued investment, cross-sector collaboration, and visionary leadership to ensure a sustainable future. As we spotlight this year’s NTTW theme — “Travel is Essential” — it’s also critical to remember that arts, cultural and heritage experiences are at the center of our tourism ecosystem.

From museums and historic districts to local festivals and community seasonal offerings, these experiences drive visitation, foster deeper understanding, and create shared value for both residents and visitors alike.

"Cultural assets and experiences are not side offerings — they are core assets that define place and purpose", says Richard Peterson, CEO of US Cultural & Heritage Marketing Council.

As an industry that is a catalyst for tourism, let's continue to advocate in collaboration with U.S. Travel Association for strategic support, funding, and policy alignment that ensures travel and tourism — in all its vibrant forms — can thrive.
