“AMERICART 2019” Documentary Film
San Francisco - June 3, 2020 – Americart 2019 is a documentary film featuring the individual stories of artists, museum curators, craft makers and communities across America's Heartland. Created by New York based Legit Productions, and presented by WhistlePig Rye Whiskey, the documentary will provide a unique perspective into the national conversations about art, complemented by the original musical score that has been composed and performed by Bill Maier. Americart 2019 will premiere on August 8, 2020 in McPherson, KS (Kansas) at the historic McPherson Opera House.*

Following the world premiere in August, Americart 2019 will be distributed by Indie Rights, in collaboration with Legit Productions. This will provide an optimal platform to present Americart 2019 to a global audience seeking the inspiration and personal stories from all that art provides.
*Special Note: The event will be organized in compliance with the State of Kansas and the City of McPherson to abide by established guidelines concerning social distancing and community safety. All presenters and guests will be invited to respect federal and local safety guidelines. As of June 3, 2020, the event is confirmed to take place on August 8th, 2020.
